IECA Mountain States Regional Virtual Connection Conference

IECA Mountain States Virtual Connection: Water and Land Protection in the Rockies

November 10, 17 and 24, 2020

The IECA Mountain States Chapter is focused on the conservation and restoration of soil and water resources throughout the region. While unable to conduct an in-person conference, we have a line up of industry leaders scheduled to presenter over 3 weeks, 6 – one hour live webinars (available on-demand, post-event) and an on-demand presentation. These presentations speak to present challenges while recognizing lessons of the past. Industry professionals will leave this event with practical knowledge that can be applied to their job. Seven (7) Professional Development Hours are available.

Due to the ongoing public health threat we are unable to safely conduct an in-person conference in 2020. Nonetheless we aim to provide a valuable educational experience with the Virtual Connection series, more details to come! Click here for more details

All department offices are temporarily closed to public access, but we continue to work to maintain our clean air, water and land. Please contact the applicable program by email or phone if you need assistance. The Chemistry Laboratory and the Department of Health Microbiology Laboratory are closed to the public, but they are accepting samples as per usual.   • NDDOT ESCC Certification Training is expected to begin again in December 2020 with sessions available to renew certification before the 2021 construction season begins.

Wyoming Region News & Information

At long last, the new large and small construction general permits have been issued for Wyoming! Permittees will begin receiving notices about permit renewals in response. For all of those who are working under these permits below are some important deadlines to adhere to in regards to renewals:

Large Construction General Permits (LCGP):

  • Deadline for Renewal: November 20, 2020
    • Storm water discharges under the old LCGP will be covered until December 20, 2020
  • Deadline for SWPPP/Operations updates: March 20, 2021
    • Please note that failure to renew permits will terminate the permit coverage under the LCGP

Small Construction General Permit (SCGP):

  • Deadline for SWPPP/Operations updates:¬†December 15, 2020
    • SWPPP and operations are required to be updated to the new permit standards by the above date or coverage will be terminated under the SCGP
