Wyoming Region News & Information

At long last, the new large and small construction general permits have been issued for Wyoming! Permittees will begin receiving notices about permit renewals in response. For all of those who are working under these permits below are some important deadlines to adhere to in regards to renewals:

Large Construction General Permits (LCGP):

  • Deadline for Renewal: November 20, 2020
    • Storm water discharges under the old LCGP will be covered until December 20, 2020
  • Deadline for SWPPP/Operations updates: March 20, 2021
    • Please note that failure to renew permits will terminate the permit coverage under the LCGP

Small Construction General Permit (SCGP):

  • Deadline for SWPPP/Operations updates: December 15, 2020
    • SWPPP and operations are required to be updated to the new permit standards by the above date or coverage will be terminated under the SCGP

Both of the new permits can be found on the DEQ website listed below:

Remember the DEQ has implemented a new online submission and payment system which should streamline the permit renewals. Please reach out with any questions and pass this along to anyone who is currently managing applications under these permits. Have a great day,
